The reason being Akshay wanted a hotel which showed the IPL matches. Now Ratan Jain the big hearted producer that he is, decided to get his entire unit there and not make them feel left out.” ”Now it so happened that while the rest of the cast and crew showed promptness in shifting from their earlier hotel to the new seven star one, Akshay and Katrina somehow ended up reaching late due to prior commitments at the new hotel. But that proved to be their undoing as by the time they had arrived all the luxurious suites had been allotted to the rest cast and crew. Now these other members were not willing to let go off their luxurious suites for Akshay and Katrina. This put the poor producer in a fix. But finally somehow adjustments were made and the embarrassing situation was brought to an end,” adds the source.

He’s not in South Africa. He’s not even in India. Akshay Kumar is catching up on all the IPL action from Singapore. The actor, shooting for Priyadarshan’s movie De Dana Dan with Katrina Kaif and Sunil Shetty in Singapore, was in for a rude shock when he found that the hotel he had checked in did not beam the channel telecasting the IPL matches. “The most important thing to me, my IPL! I called up my producer and said I don't care where I stay, even if it's in the back of a kitchen, I need to watch my IPL. Bad news, my hotel didn't have the channel so what else could I do but personally find the hotel manager and fold my hands in humble request and plead and plead for whatever it takes to please get that channel,” Akshay wrote on his blog. Akshay’s request was heeded and the very next day the hotel began airing the channel that telecasts the matches of the ongoing IPL tournament in South Africa. Now, after the day’s shoot, Akshay often switches on his TV set to watch the matches, and he’s thrilled over how the tournament has progressed so far. “…wow! What a season it's been. Seriously, I wish the best for all the teams. You have me on the edge of my seat,” Akshay writes. The film’s producer Ratan Jain has confirmed to a tabloid that not just Akshay, but the “entire unit” now watches the matches during breaks. Katrina, meanwhile, hasn’t been keeping too well.

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif surely knows what she wants and how to get it as well! Recently, the actress demanded seven changes of costumes for a music video in Yash Raj Films' ‘New York'. According to the sources, Aditya Chopra and choreographer Ahmad Khan decided on three costume changes for the actress but Katrina put her foot down and said that she needed four more changes. Katrina Kaif has rubbished also reports that her 17-year-old sister Isabel will play lead opposite Salman Khan in the period drama Veer, scripted by Salman Khan and being directed by Anil Sharma. "I don't know from where people are getting these ideas! How can Isabel make a debut in films when she hasn't even finished her education?" she reportedly had said. The reports were triggered after a meeting that Sharma had with Isabel, and Isabel recently attending several Bollywood events along with Katrina. Katrina says that Isabel, who studies in London, hung out with her as she was on vacation in Mumbai. "She hasn't even planned yet if she wants to make her career in films or elsewhere. Even if Isabel chooses to join the film industry, she will definitely not be seen in Salman's Veer," she says. Veer is scheduled to begin production in August for release next summer.
